What Is Dry Eye?
Dry eyes are caused by inadequate eye moisture. This may be from poor-quality tears or insufficient production of tears to an imbalance in the different components of tears. Tears are a combination of oil, water, and mucus that help protect your eyes and keep them clear and shielded from infection. Please contact your Henry Eye Clinic eye specialist if you consistently experience the following symptoms.
Stinging eyes, burning eyes, discomfort in or around the eyes, blurred vision, a scratchy sensation within your eye, sensitivity to light, stringy mucus from your eye, eye fatigue, eye redness, or excessive tearing.
Treatments for Dry Eye range from once-a-day eye drops to, in extreme cases, surgical procedures. There are also a variety of medications that can be used to treat Dry Eyes. Depending on your symptoms and needs, your Henry Eye Clinic eye specialist will be able to prescribe the right treatment for you.
